Weekly Educational Offering - Prepare for the Coming Sunday!
19/5/21, 06:00 AM
Posted by Fr. Gregory

We present here a short educational offering for both children and adults on the upcoming Sunday's principle Gospel reading so that all can better prepare for the Divine Services. Parents are asked to review the children’s portion with their children. It is very important for us to attend the Divine Services on Sundays and whenever else we are able, but in addition it is our spiritual responsibility to educate ourselves and our families in the faith. It is our hope that this mid-week offering will be an aid in this regard. Please contact Fr. Gregory with questions or suggestions.

For Youth: from the Antiochian Archdiocese (various age groups)

All Parish Pascha Party is Back!
18/5/21, 06:00 PM
Posted by Fr. Gregory

Fr. Gregory, Elizabeth, Misha, Masha, and Natasha invite everyone to join us for our Pascha party on Sunday, May 30, 2021 at our house in Saline. The rain date is Monday, May 31 2021. Why do we need a rain date? Because we will hold the party outside! We’ll have a bon fire, lots of non-Lenten food, drinks, and hopefully a lot of fun! Don’t know where we live? Please send a note to info@stvladimiraami.org now (not on May 30 when you leave your house!) and we’ll share details with you. Everyone is welcome! Come celebrate the Resurrection of our Lord with our whole parish family in the best pandemic style!

Annual Meeting Thank You
18/5/21, 06:00 AM
Posted by Fr. Gregory

Thank you to all who made our parish annual meeting on Sunday, May 16 such a wonderful celebration of our parish family! We were able to ask questions and answers of those holding positions of leadership in our parish, we elected new leaders for the coming year, and we thanked those who have served our parish family in the past year. You can find the submitted reports and a link to a Google Doc here that will allow you to ask questions even though the meeting was completed yesterday:

ANNUAL MEETING 2021 MATERIALS

You can find a list of those elected to serve the parish in the coming year at this link:
ST. VLADIMIR PARISH COUNCIL PAGE

Thank you Lauren Rogers who served our parish family as Secretary this past year. With four growing children, a farm, and a full time job it is just not possible for Lauren to fulfill these duties in the coming year, and that is completely understandable. But we will miss her input on the parish council most certainly!

Monday First Things - Teachings of the Holy Fathers

The Lord shows us that we ought not to answer those who ask a question with malicious intent (cf. Mt. 21:23-27). For He Himself did not reply to those Jews who questioned Him with cunning, although He was not at a loss for an answer.

THIS SATURDAY & SUNDAY: Kursk Root Icon to Visit St. Vladimir’s
12/5/21, 06:00 PM
Posted by Fr. Gregory

God willing the Kursk Root Icon of the Mother of God will visit our St. Vladimir parish on Saturday, May 15 and Sunday, May 16. As is our parish tradition, we hope to keep the church open all night from Saturday to Sunday to allow people to venerate the icon from around our region. This provides a wonderful opportunity for our parish family members to spend time with the icon in the church in a quiet, prayerful atmosphere. But in order to provide this service to our parish family, friends, and neighbors we need volunteers to be with the icon at all times. The sign up for this duty can be found here:
