7/5/16, 06:00 AM
Posted by Fr. Gregory
Tomorrow at the end of the Divine Liturgy we will take up the Paschal Artos - the special bread blessed at the Paschal Divine Liturgy and present in the parish church for each of the Divine Services of Bright Week) and process one last time around the church singing the Paschal hymns. Upon re-entering the church a special prayer for the cutting of the Artos is read. The Artos is then distributed to the faithful as a special blessing at the kissing of the cross. Please join us for this special opportunity to bid farewell to Bright Week and to partake of the Artos according to the ancient tradition of the Holy Church!

Paschal Visit of Graves is this Sunday
3/5/16, 12:00 PM
Posted by Fr. Gregory
As is our usual practice we will visit the graves of our friends and loved ones on Thomas Sunday (May 8) after the parish meal (we should arrive at Forest Hill Cemetery about 2:30 p.m.). For those graves we cannot visit on Thomas Sunday we will visit after the Liturgy on Radonitsa (May 10). On that day we will serve Liturgy at 8:00 a.m. followed by the first Pannykhida after Pascha. Radonitsa will also be the rain date for Thomas Sunday if the weather is particularly bad that day.
