Members – Pick Your Duty
16/3/24, 06:00 AM
Posted by Fr. Gregory

It is understood and expected that each member of our parish would have at least one duty that they participate in IN ADDITION to attending the Divine Services. This ranges from baking prosphora, to picking sticks in the cemetery, to shoveling snow, and more! If we all do our little part we will equitably care for the parish the Lord has entrusted to us, and we will not kill off those who do these things if no one else does. It is wise for us to preserve the leadership of our parish, but it is also moral for each parish member to do their part. So please pitch in, and if you have not chosen your duty yet please contact our parish Secretary, Marina Edwards. If she doesn’t hear from you she will reach out to you soon. You can email her at info@stvladimiraami.org or see her in church. Thank you for diligently following through on this program. More involvement in the parish promotes persistence in being part of the parish family – and it keeps a few people from doing everything. With God’s help we will make our metaphor of “family” even more real in our parish by working together for God’s glory in this way!

Weekly Educational Offering - Prepare for the Coming Sunday!
13/3/24, 06:00 AM
Posted by Fr. Gregory

We present here a short educational offering for both children and adults on the upcoming Sunday's principle Gospel reading so that all can better prepare for the Divine Services. Parents are asked to review the children’s portion with their children. It is very important for us to attend the Divine Services on Sundays and whenever else we are able, but in addition it is our spiritual responsibility to educate ourselves and our families in the faith. It is our hope that this mid-week offering will be an aid in this regard. Please contact Fr. Gregory with questions or suggestions.

Updates to Parish Schedule
12/3/24, 06:00 PM
Posted by Fr. Gregory

Please note that we have canceled services this Friday and Saturday. Also, we have added a Presanctified Liturgy on Monday, March 12/25 for St. Gregory the Diologist, the author of the Presanctified Liturgy. It seemed odd to us to serve for Sts. John, Basil, and James (the other authors of our Liturgies) and not for St. Gregory. :) So we’ve added services for his feast.

Annual Meeting Thank You!
12/3/24, 06:00 AM
Posted by Fr. Gregory

What a GREAT Annual Meeting we had on Sunday! How exciting it was to hear about the many great things happening at our parish and in our parish family! Thank you to those who served in parish offices last year, and thank you to those who volunteered (and were elected) at yesterday’s meeting to serve this year! The minutes of the meeting are to be provided to Archbishop Peter by a week from today. After that, they will be available for our members to review. Find out more at the PARISH COUNCIL PAGE. You can also find there the list of our parish elected officials, the schedule of Parish Council meetings for the year, how to make a suggestion to help us improve our parish, and more!
