Please note that September 27 is always a Lenten day – no matter which day of the week this date fall on. This is the feast of the Exaltation of the Cross and because of the penitential nature of the Cross itself this day is always a fasting day. Since we are not used to Sundays as fasting days outside of major fasting periods it is easy to forget this one. We hope this little note will keep that from happening in your and your family's case.
