This page is meant to be a resource for St. Vladimir's Readers. At St. Vladimir's anyone is welcome to read, but we ask that you contact Ken (Peter) Doll at: 734-994-0295 or 586-306-7052 or kdoll@stvladimiraami.org if you are interested in reading. Ken will teach you how to read, as well as include you in the reading schedule (found below). If you are interested in reading in Church Slavonic please contact Alexander Alexandrov (ah5787@yandex.ru or 734-763-7030). Alexander will assess your ability to read Church Slavonic and help you to learn to read correctly if any help is needed.
PLEASE NOTE: It is YOUR responsibility to find a replacement if you cannot read on the day you are assigned.
Readers' Schedule February, 2007*
*Readings are provided here to allow readers to practice these in advance - please be sure to do so!
General Readers' Responsibilities:
Arrive by 9:15 a.m. to prepare the Hours and the Epistle
Read the Hours beginning at 9:30 a.m. sharp (see Fr. Gregory in the altar when you are ready to begin)
Please discuss the reading of the Hours with the other Reader assigned. One of you may read, or you may share, but it is crucial that you communicate with each other so that the Hours are read.
Read the Epistle. If you have questions about the Prokimena and Alleluia please contact Ken Doll.
