Our monthly cycle of all-English services is set for this Friday at 6:00 p.m. and this Saturday at 9:00 a.m. Please invite friends, loved ones, neighbors, co-workers, and anyone else you know or suspect might like to learn more about the Orthodox Faith. The Lord has put us in this time and place to sanctify this time and place – to spread the Gospel here and now. This is why we hold these services – to provide an opportunity for all to be exposed to the theology in action that is the Divine Services. Please join us as your personal schedule allows!

Please note that the yearly Lenten period in preparation for our Lord’s Nativity begins on November 28. From this day until January 7 we do not partake of meat or dairy products. On many days during this lent fish is allowed. Please consult the parish schedule of services for details in this regard. Have questions about fasting? Never tried to follow the fast before? Please talk to Fr. Gregory for answers! “We abstain from meats that we might abstain from the passions...” writes St. John Chrysostom. Let us indeed use the fast for what it is – a tool to aid us in our spiritual struggle for salvation.

There will be Divine Services at least once during each week of the Nativity Fast OUTSIDE the usual Saturday/Sunday services this year. Sign up today to help with these services (sing, read, serve in the altar) here:

Thank you to everyone who made it possible for all our Youth Groups to meet on Sunday, November 18! It takes parents, clergy, and other parishioners working together to make these meetings happen and it should be very clear: we are very thankful for everyone’s support!

We will continue our book club format for the December meetings, set for December 16. Find the information about the next meetings at the links below, especially and importantly the reading assignments (teens – through p. 136 of Everyday Saints and 9-12 Year Olds: through the end of the St. Herman of Alaska book).
