Like to arrange for a cemetery plot for you and your family? Have any other questions about finances and our spiritual responsibility in this regard? Every Sunday we have a table set up at the parish meal with one of our Parish Council finance team members manning it. You’ll be able to ask questions and get help in this regard. We may not know the answer to every question you ask, but if we don’t we’ll find out and get back to you. Please plan to visit the finance team table at lunch every Sunday!

At the 2009 Assembly of the Diocese of Chicago and Mid-America of the Russian Orthodox Church Outside Russia, delegates proposed the founding of a fellowship of stewards in order to strengthen our common life and ministry as a diocese. The initiative was blessed by Bishop (now Archbishop) Peter and given the heavenly patronage of St. John Kochurov.

At the Parish Council meeting on March 11, 2017 a Stewardship Education Team was appointed by the Parish Council consisting of Fr. Gregory, Jack (Alexey) Mitchel, and Leta (Ksenia) Nikulshina. The charge of this team is to provide our parish family with educational information about stewardship. In this regard, we intend to send out an email and post on our parish web site a quarterly communication.

Please note that we will have a question and answer period during the parish meal on Sunday, October 28, 2018 to allow for questions in an open forum. However, please feel free to contact any of us, or any of the Parish Council members, with questions at any time. This year marks the 20th anniversary of our Nativity Ball! Our Head Sister, Leta Nikulshina, has been chair of the Ball Committee for 10 years! And she just can’t do it this year. We need someone to step up and lead. Yes – you! Not someone else – you! Leta will not disappear – she will be there to help. In the early years of the ball it was common for someone to lead the committee for year or two and then hand it off to a new chair. We’d like to get back to that cadence.
