Please plan to join us for the feast of St. Vladimir – our parish’s Second Pascha – on July 27 at 6:00 p.m. for Vigil and July 28 at 9:00 a.m. for Divine Liturgy. Our intention is to serve both Vigil and Liturgy outside since we expect to have visitors these days and the visitors would not know to sign up for indoor services. We will also need one or two people to stay over night at the church to keep an eye on the worship space, the tents, etc. More information can be found at this flyer:

“Do not be foolish in the requests you make to God, otherwise you will insult God through your ignorance. Act wisely in prayer, so that you may become worthy of glorious things. Ask for things that are honorable from Him Who will not hold back, so that you may receive honor from Him as a result of the wise choice your free will had made. Solomon asked for wisdom (3 Kg 3:8-14) – and along with it he also received the earthly kingdom, for he knew how to ask wisely of the heavenly King, that is, for things that are important.”

“If you cannot be merciful, at least speak as though you are a sinner. If you are not a peacemaker, at least do not be a troublemaker. If you cannot be assiduous, at least in your thought be like a sluggard. If you are not victorious, do not exalt yourself over the vanquished. If you cannot close the mouth of a man who disparages his companion, at least refrain from joining him in this.”

Rubrics/Liturgics Classes begin Week of 7/13/20

The pandemic does have some blessings. One of those was the opportunity for more people to read at the increased number of Divine Services that we have been able to hold during these days. Our new readers were trained “on the fly”, so to speak, and we want to thank those that worked so hard to help the new readers. But now that we can take a breath we have the opportunity to train the new readers, as well as those who would like to learn to read, about the rubrics and liturgics of the Divine Services. This is one of those things that is easiest to learn in your native language because there is a specific lexicon for English and a specific lexicon for Russian. Classes begin this coming week. Please join us!

Russian: Tuesday, July 14, 2020 7:00 p.m.

English: Wednesday, July 15, 2020 7:30 p.m.

Please join using a computer or a tablet rather than your phone. We will be sharing screen shots and the phone is just too small for this function to be useful. Any headphones will work if plugged into the mic plug on your computer.
