Our Second Pascha is July 28!

Posted by Fr. Gregory

Please plan to join us for the feast of St. Vladimir – our parish’s Second Pascha – on July 27 at 6:00 p.m. for Vigil and July 28 at 9:00 a.m. for Divine Liturgy. Our intention is to serve both Vigil and Liturgy outside since we expect to have visitors these days and the visitors would not know to sign up for indoor services. We will also need one or two people to stay over night at the church to keep an eye on the worship space, the tents, etc. More information can be found at this flyer:

Rubrics/Liturgics Classes begin Week of 7/13/20

The pandemic does have some blessings. One of those was the opportunity for more people to read at the increased number of Divine Services that we have been able to hold during these days. Our new readers were trained “on the fly”, so to speak, and we want to thank those that worked so hard to help the new readers. But now that we can take a breath we have the opportunity to train the new readers, as well as those who would like to learn to read, about the rubrics and liturgics of the Divine Services. This is one of those things that is easiest to learn in your native language because there is a specific lexicon for English and a specific lexicon for Russian. Classes begin this coming week. Please join us!

Please join using a computer or a tablet rather than your phone. We will be sharing screen shots and the phone is just too small for this function to be useful. Any headphones will work if plugged into the mic plug on your computer.

Sunday Liturgy begins at 9:00 a.m. NEW INFORMATION
6/7/20, 06:00 PM
Posted by Fr. Gregory

Until further notice Divine Liturgy on Sunday begins at 9:00 a.m. Set up for the Divine Liturgy begins at 8:00 a.m. Please come to help if you can! All parish calendars have been updated to reflect the new start time. Please pass the word to those who you know or suspect will not see this announcement.

Please note: although the disease is much less likely to spread outside, it is still important to physically distance. It is understood: everyone is tired of pandemic restrictions! But the point of worshiping outside is not just because we can essentially welcome as many people as would like to attend, but also to lower the opportunity for the virus to spread. Please be conscious of physical distancing and please kindly and lovingly remind others who forget this. No one wants to spread the virus – but it is easy to forget to physically distance.

Parents please note: you must supervise your children during the outside services! Children are not allowed to play in the neighbors’ yards during the service. If we are not diligent about this our neighbors will start to dislike us, and that is not good for anyone. Thank you for seeing to this.

It was very warm under the tents yesterday. We are examining how we can aleviate that going forward. Please provide us other feedback so that we can do this better by emailing info@stvladimiraami.org visiting this feedback form:
