Weekly Educational Offering - Prepare for the Coming Sunday!
3/7/19, 06:00 AM
Posted by Fr. Gregory

We present here a short educational offering for both children and adults on the upcoming Sunday's principle Gospel reading so that all can better prepare for the Divine Services. Parents are asked to review the children’s portion with their children. It is very important for us to attend the Divine Services on Sundays and whenever else we are able, but in addition it is our spiritual responsibility to educate ourselves and our families in the faith. It is our hope that this mid-week offering will be an aid in this regard. Please contact Fr. Gregory with questions or suggestions.

For Adults: from the writings of Blessed Theophylact

For Children: from the Antiochian Archdiocese (various age groups)

Non-Perishable Food Items Gathered at Every Service
28/6/19, 06:00 PM
Posted by Fr. Gregory

Beginning on Saturday, June 15 we provide our parishioners the opportunity to bring non-perishable food items to St. Vladimir’s at every Divine Service. The bin to deposit these is located between the two bathrooms in the foyer of the parish church. This is a great opportunity to teach our children the value of helping those in need – a value our Lord made it clear that we should fulfill in the 25th chapter of the Gospel of Matthew. It is also a great opportunity to remind ourselves of this important Christian precept. Our goal here is to change our St. Vladimir family paradigm to “I am going to church – I need to grab a non-perishable food item and bring it with me”. Let’s all work hard on that paradigm so that in a small way we are all working together to follow our Lord’s commandment “...Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto Me.”

Special Needs Ministry – We Need You!
28/6/19, 06:00 AM
Posted by Fr. Gregory

Inspired by the incredible work of Fr. Vladimir Klimzo in Russia, and with the understanding that here in American the vast majority (perhaps up to 80% according to some studies) of families with special needs children or adult children do not attend church – ALTHOUGH THEY WOULD LIKE TO – we have established a Special Needs Ministry at St. Vladimir’s.

OUR FIRST CYCLE OF SERVICES OF THIS MINISTRY IS SLATED FOR TONIGHT AND TOMORROW!

Join us in providing a spiritual home for those seeking one, but struggling to connect with a parish family! Attend the services. Support those visiting. Help how you can. If we do our best, and we ask the Lord's blessing, we will do well.

Walk of Life 2019
27/6/19, 06:00 AM
Posted by Fr. Gregory

We have been offered the opportunity to host the Diocesan Cross Procession “Walk of Life” this Labor Day weekend. And we want to do it! This has always been a positive event for our parish, deanery, and diocese. We have always gotten more out of it as a parish than we have put in. But the timing is rough. This event will happen two weeks before our annual festival. So we need a volunteer to lead this effort – someone who is not on the festival committee or a festival lead. Please contact Fr. Gregory right away if you can help. Some things have already been put in place – so you wouldn’t be starting from scratch!

Here are pictures from previous Walks of Life at St. Vladimir’s:

Weekly Financial Update
26/6/19, 06:00 PM

“Upon the first day of the week let every one of you lay by him in store, as God hath prospered him...” (I Corinthians 16:2)

We present here our weekly collection information, links to our Donation Page, and our Treasurer’s Corner page.

Two Important pieces of information to remember as you review this data:

1. Income is captured ONLY from regular collections and the Network for Good “General Fund/Tithes” page. There are other income sources for the parish that are not captured here. We feel it is important to cover our baseline expenses (based on 2018 actual expenses) from regular collections and the General Fund/Tithes income, but we do not do that regularly (thus you will see a lot of red numbers at the weekly collection variance link). Please consider establishing a recurring donation at our General Fund/Tithes page or via bank transfer (contact our Treasurer, Mikhail Fisenkov at treasurer@stvladimiraami.org to learn more about bank transfers) to help us erase those red numbers.

2. Assure that your weekly tithe is provided to your parish – even when you are not present – by establishing a recurring donation at our General Fund/Tithes page or via bank transfer (contact our Treasurer, Mikhail Fisenkov at treasurer@stvladimiraami.org to learn more about bank transfers).
