First Sunday of the Month – Helping You Support Your Parish
30/4/22, 06:00 AM
Posted by Fr. Gregory

Each first Sunday of the month (unless Pascha falls on the first Sunday, in which case we do this on the second Sunday) we will have Parish Council members ready to help you during the parish meal. Help you by answering questions you may have about why you should support your parish. Help you by answering questions about how you can support your parish. Help you by assisting you in setting up a recurring donation to support St. Vladimir’s if you would like to do so. No one will attack you. :) But if you would like help, or you have questions, we are setting aside this time specifically for this purpose.

Join us this Sunday after the Divine Liturgy for a bell ringing rehearsal/workshop with our Head Bell Ringer John Hill. All are welcome! With Pascha coming up we need to be ready, and that readiness will carry us forward to ringing the bells at every Divine Service!

As is our usual practice we will visit the graves of our friends and loved ones on Thomas Sunday (May 1) to greet them with the Resurrection of the Lord. We will visit the graves in our parish cemetery on Radonitsa (Tuesday, May 3).

On May 1 We should arrive at Forest Hill Cemetery about 2:30 p.m.

On Radonitsa (Tuesday, May 3) we will serve Liturgy at 8:00 a.m. followed by the first Pannykhida after Pascha and the visit of our parish cemetery. If you have graves that you would like our clergy to visit during this Paschal season please contact Fr. Gregory to arrange a visit.

All Parish Pascha Party is May 15
28/4/22, 06:00 AM
Posted by Fr. Gregory

Fr. Gregory, Elizabeth, Misha, Masha, and Natasha invite everyone to join us for our Pascha party on Sunday, May 15, 2022 at our house in Saline. The rain date is Monday, May 16 2022. Why do we need a rain date? Because we will hold the party outside! We’ll have a bon fire, lots of non-Lenten food, drinks, and hopefully a lot of fun! Don’t know where we live? Please send a note to info@stvladimiraami.org now (not on May 15 when you leave your house!) and we’ll share details with you. Everyone is welcome! Come celebrate the Resurrection of our Lord with our whole parish family in the best post-pandemic style!

Weekly Educational Offering - Prepare for the Coming Sunday!
27/4/22, 06:00 AM
Posted by Fr. Gregory

We present here a short educational offering for both children and adults on the upcoming Sunday's principle Gospel reading so that all can better prepare for the Divine Services. Parents are asked to review the children’s portion with their children. It is very important for us to attend the Divine Services on Sundays and whenever else we are able, but in addition it is our spiritual responsibility to educate ourselves and our families in the faith. It is our hope that this mid-week offering will be an aid in this regard. Please contact Fr. Gregory with questions or suggestions.
