Human Trafficking in Michigan - Presentation this Sunday
23/4/15, 06:00 AM
Posted by Fr. Gregory
Yes – it happens. A lot more than you think. And these are not just people indentured from other countries (as if that would make it OK) – these are people from the United States. People like you and your family! Join us this Sunday (April 26) during our weekly parish meal after the Divine Liturgy when we welcome Gracie Willis and Danica Taylor, Student Attorneys from the University of Michigan Law School Human Trafficking Clinic. It will be good to find out about this problem from experts like Gracie and Danica. But we are not going to stop there. With Gracie and Danica's guidance we are also going to seek ways that we can help. This is a huge societal problem that no one seems to want to talk about. As Christians it is our responsibility to minister to others, especially those who are oppressed. We need to talk about this and we need to find ways to make a positive difference. Please join us this Sunday for this important presentation!

Weekly Educational Offering
22/4/15, 06:00 AM
Posted by Fr. Gregory
We present here a short educational offering for both children and adults. Parents are asked to review the children’s portion with their children. It is very important for us to attend the Divine Services on Sundays and whenever else we are able, but in addition it is our spiritual responsibility to educate ourselves and our families in the faith. It is our hope that this mid-week offering will be an aid in this regard. Please contact Fr. Gregory with questions or suggestions.

Quarterly Starotsa Corner
21/4/15, 06:00 PM
Posted by Fr. Gregory
Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

Last year at this time when I started to type the first “Starosta’s corner” I hoped it would be “a series of letters to the parish on our life from the point of view of dollars and cents.” The weekly “Sunday Finances” now covers dollars and cents pretty much every week, so I’m going to expand the coverage of the quarterly “Starosta’s Corner” to include a little more about other items concerning “acquisition and utilization … of church funds and the maintenance of all church property”...

To read the rest of the Starosta Corner please visit the link below:

Gregory before or after you do so that you can coordinate data gathering that will help our parish understand what is happening with this project. We would love to help support it! You may recall that Zoe for Life folks from the Cleveland chapter visited us last Great Lent as part of our Great Lenten Lecture Series.
