Souperbowl Sunday is February 2
29/1/20, 12:00 PM
Posted by Fr. Gregory

On Sunday, February 2, 2020 the Superbowl will be played. On that day billions of dollars will be spent in America on snacks and drinks. International Orthodox Christian Charities is asking all of us Orthodox Christians in America – millions of us – to set aside a few dollars and bring some non-perishable food to church this Sunday. And we are asking that of our parish family too. We will have a special collection at the cross on Sunday and ask folks to bring non-perishable foods. Which foods? Check out this list:

Can’t be there on Sunday but want to help? Email out Treasurer Mikhail Fisenkov to learn how: treasurer@stvladimiraami.org

Weekly Educational Offering - Prepare for the Coming Sunday!
29/1/20, 06:00 AM
Posted by Fr. Gregory

We present here a short educational offering for both children and adults on the upcoming Sunday's principle Gospel reading so that all can better prepare for the Divine Services. Parents are asked to review the children’s portion with their children. It is very important for us to attend the Divine Services on Sundays and whenever else we are able, but in addition it is our spiritual responsibility to educate ourselves and our families in the faith. It is our hope that this mid-week offering will be an aid in this regard. Please contact Fr. Gregory with questions or suggestions.

Spiritual Life in Russia Today
28/1/20, 06:00 PM
Posted by Fr. Gregory

Please join us this Wednesday, January 29 immediately following the akathist to the Mother of God for a presentation by our friend, Fr. Vladimir Klimzo, who is visiting us for a few weeks here in Ann Arbor with Archbishop Peter's blessing, on the topic: “Spiritual Life in Russia Today”. Fr. Vladimir’s presentation will be in both English and Russian – his English is quite good. Of course, if you want to ask Fr. Vladimir about his work with special needs children and adults it is unlikely he will refuse to answer you. :) Please join us for what looks to be a lovely evening this Wednesday!
